Official: Sovfracht expects US to lift accusations of employees

MOSCOW, Jun 13 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Sovfracht expects that accusations of the U.S. Department of Justice against its employees will be removed, an official told PRIME on Wednesday.

The U.S. authority said earlier that five Russian employees of Sovfracht and three Syrians are accused of supplying jet fuel to Syria, which violates the U.S. sanctions.

The official of Sovfracht said, “Concerning the accusations presented by the U.S. Department of Justice against several of its employees, we can only say that the company plans to present arguments testifying that the activities of the employees and the company do not violate international law, decisions by international organizations in the U.N. We expect that in the end, the accusations will be removed.”
